I picked up the little one and loaded it with braid for a deep water fluke rod. I have heard some good things from some an offshore guy on the larger reels but this little thing looked just right for my application so I figured I'd start there.
They feel good and the drag is rugged but smooth. If this reel works out I may put them on a bass rod next seaon. The price is reasonable that is for sure.
If my boat was running I would have used it already
...until then my surf stuff continues to get a heavy work out.
