What do you guys us for long casting plug rods? I was looking at the alvey rods, weird looking rods and it looks like you would have horrible line pickup. They claim record distance casting though
I want to get a tough set up that will last for a long time. I was thinking a penn spinfisher with a ugly stick surf rod with the cork tape handles. What do you guys think?
