Yup---1-1/2 to 2-1/2 is perfect for that rod, but it will throw heavier if you need to.

It's a good rod to have when your limited to taking only one with ya. Used mine for everything from 7/8 oz Bombers, to eels (perfect), to 3-1/2 oz wood.
