I've used bearing buddies for 2 seasons of heavy usage and have no complaints.
A few pumps before the trip until the weep hole starts to ooze.
I read that the real problem is when you dunk your trailer after driving, the heat that has buit up in the bearing causes them to suck in moisture. Therefore, you want the maximum amount of grease in there.
