You won't believe this but I did the same thing in April. Fried a cylinder. exactly the same thing. Lost RPM, stopped completely then started again. although it didn't sound quite right.take out the plugs and look for one where there isn't a gap anymore. there you go. The good news is that it took the guy's at the shop a week and a half to get me back on the water. The bad news is that it's a good amount of labor and if it's not covered it might be a bear.
