Alberto is the man... I was wondering at first why he is "crazy"... he didn't seem to crazy, until I found out just how hardcore of a fisherman he is. I like how he is not afraid to challenge others' theories and perspectives... This shows that he will do whatever possible to be the best he can be... if it means his theories and methods are proved wrong, all the better! If I worked my butt off to keep a log for 40 years, I'm not sure how likely I'd be to travel around and divulge my findings to the world... it just shows how much he enjoys sharing his love for the sport with others. Class act!

He talked for over 2 hours... that's quite the gesture, especially after driving for 8 hours. He could have easily gone about 45 minutes and called it a night.

It would have been nice to get a diagram or something of his knot. I normally use a barrel swivel all of the time and never use a shock leader. I definitely have a lot of new things to try and new ways of thinking. I think a lot of "routines" and "trains of thought" were shot down by Alberto's presentation...in other words, I think we all got a good kick in the behind in terms of our "tried and true" methods, which is fabulous.

And if anything, he showed us that there's nothing wrong with being "crazy" when it comes to big bass!

Thanks again Alberto!!
