Last summer, in August I think, the blues were busting all over the place around Monohan's dock in Narragansett at dawn. I got there, along with about 10 other guys, before the sun came up, and we all headed for the rocks to throw poppers at the noises (couldn't see anything yet but we could hear them).
There was an old Toyota fastback car parked right in the middle of the parking area; the kind with the huge back window that sloped forward over a rear deck that was the rear seat folded down. In the dark you could see that there were people inside, but no one paid any attention in the dark.
Well, when the sun started to come up and beamed into the car, it turned out that the people inside were two mid-20s kids, one male and one female, both sound asleep right underneath the sloping back window of the car. The guy was sleeping on his stomach; the girl was sleeping on her back. BUT, they were both strip, stark naked and surrounded by about two dozen empty Heineken bottles and a scrunched up blanket that covered their feet up to their ankles--only!
Suddenly all those old blues whackers were milling around the back of the Toyota, ignoring the blues, and looking a lot like the smilies above!!! Except for me, of course.
Two massively hung over people trying to get dressed in a Toyota, while ten (remember that the 11th was fishing) grizzly dawn patrollers leaning on their Lamis were standing five feet away gawking into the back window, must have been a religious experience!
The kids left the area rather quickly when they woke up, much to the amusement and loud cheers of the crowd--I think they got a room next time.
