An Old Surfcaster's Prayers Were Finally Answered Monday Nite

I've had a helluva week and haven't had the time to share this with all of ya - it was pretty damned special for an old gaffer like me.

Had plans to meet Bryan (RIROCKHOUND) at ****** **** at 2045 and I wanted to get there a little earlier to get a feel for sea conditions, etc.

Pulled into the park area and as I drove toward the meeting spot I couldn't believe what I was seeing - I had to rub my eyes, it just couldn't be!

Yes, I'd stumbled onto a BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT!

I poop you not, there was like a dozen people hovering around this statuesque blonde babe in a bikini ya coulda fit into a band-aid box, tweaking her for the camera while she struck a number of very provocative poses on the split rail fence

I hightailed it around to the east lot and nearly ran over a coupla old ladies and just missed the ranger's vehicle. Pulled over quietly so as not to spook her, pulled out the binos - oh my, she was a spectacular specimen! Beautiful plumage, squire!

When I saw Bry later he musta noticed the faraway look in my eyes.

'Hey - is that a pikie in your pocket or are ya just happy to be here?'

Heh heh heh - well, to whomever it was who saw to it that I was in that place at that time - thank you.

And to the beautiful young woman who was so wonderfully limber - thank you, my dear -

You made a dirty old man very happy

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
