Over the weekend I was catching some monsters over 14 inches long on my 4" split tails, which were also being inhaled by large stripers. Funny the bigger they got the more blotchy the coloring got, must be something to do with the age of the fish, not unlike my own coloring
. I've never bothered to bring them home for the table, but I do plan on getting some black sea bass soon, those are yummy eating and fillet out nicely like all bass.
