I have never done any cod fishing before so it should be an experince! I know to dress warm and stuff but i may bring my own gear I have a penn 320GTI and a boat rod just cruious what pound test I need. A friend told me the gear you rent is junk so i don't want to have something where it decides to fail as I am bringing up a 30lb cod
If they boat has decent gear i'll leave mine at home. I also have a 10 or 12oz diamond jig I bought for a Cod trip years ago will that work? I didn't get to make it on that one since i was deathly sick
