Update:
I gave in....it's been 18 days and I LOVE getting my back scratched...pppprrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........
....so you can imagine how much I enjoy scratching all this chit, arms, legs, chest ....open sores scattered all over my shell. I went to the "walk-in" last night.....doc gave me 10mg Prednisone tablets (corticosteroid). I'm supposed to take 5 the first day, 5 the second day, 4 the third day, 3 the 4th until I'm down to 1. ?????....

is a corticosteroid hormone. It decreases your immune system's response to various diseases to reduce symptoms such as swelling and allergic-type reactions.
Is this supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing? ...lol...
He also prescribed Hydroxyzine, supposed to help the itch...honestly the ITCH doesn't need any help, it's doing just fine all by itself. ...and lastly, Cephalexin...this stuff is supposed to bring down the infected swelling that's taken place around the open sores. Doesn't this all sound lovely...
I'm going to finish the steroid and infection pills.......heck maybe I'll gain some muscle mass in the process ...
...but I'm not taking the itch pills...too much medication makes me dopey and I'm dopey enough as it is.
