I snapped a new 7/0 VMC siwash while trying to unhook a fish last night with pliers...it just snapped, I was real surprised. The trebbles are seem stronger.
I like the shape of the siwash for a tail hook. I think though you need to keep the super sharp, if they don't set and just hang on the tip, you can create a very larger bending moment that prys just about anything open like that. You need to bury that point into the fish IMO.
Nice to see you get them on poppers salty!
