we used pollock for fish n chips in the resturant i used to work for .. years back.. its a good chowder fish, and decent frying and baking.. but always with crumbs and butter..

not as tasty as cod or haddock.. but i like wolf fish better.. thats a good eating (butt ugly) fish

I heard somewhere that piping plover is indian for "tastes like chicken" ..
