when i'm plugging a rocky area like newport and narragansett i 'double up' my leader. I take the line, fold it in half, then twist one end. That makes the line twist on itself. Once i get the twists down the length of the leader i tie on a spro swivel and a coastlock snap. I use palomar knots mostly.
