A hit batter and two walks preceeds him......bases are now loaded with one out......it would be obvious that the pitcher is having control problems.....right?

Why he swings at the first pitch of course, hitting into an inning ending double play!!!!
What kind of major league moron, given those circumstances, would not stand in and take, at the very least, the first pitch to see how the pitcher might work him?????
