Hey Folks

I spent 8 months floating around guarding Mabot and Kabot Offshore terminals off the coast of Iraq. I also spent about 3 years of my life over there chasing guys that were trying to smuggle oil out of Iraq (in violation of UN sanctions)
I don't care if there where WMD there or not, I was sick of chasing bums in leaky tankers around the gulf.
I think you will be hard pressed to find any career folks in the military today that did not believe in our mission. It was our job, and we did it. Some of us died, some of us were wounded. We still believe that our mission was worthwhile.
17 of my shipmates died on the USS Cole in Aden, what did Clinton do? Launch a dozen tomahawks at cliffs and called it good. There were times during the Clinton administration, that I wasn't sure I was going to get a paycheck.
I know Bush avoided Vietnam, but at least he didn't protest it when he came back. Kerry and Fonda, friends forever.
Okay, I was way to serious. I am a die hard republican in a democrat part of the country. Don't mean to offend anyone, just want to point out the active duty point of view.
