300 yds of 80lb whip plus backing...geesh, thats alot of line

...my nautil 7500 holds 200 yds of 65lb whip and 50 yds of 50lb backing...
whiplash casts very well...i've had zero issues with it on my nautil once i got used to it...just remember a couple of important things...braid is not mono, so any knot/loop is bad...at the end of each cast after you close your bail make sure to gently pull your line tight from the spool to take out any slack...this prevents loops from forming...it will be second nature before you know it...
i only use palomar knots when connecting braid to snaps or swivels...drop of super glue on the knot for piece of mind...i use a 3-ft piece of 40lb big game mono for a leader to connect to the snap...if you hang up, this leader will break before your braid does...
i use duolocks rather than coastlocks...yes, i've had one or two open and lost a couple of fish but i think that the action is better...
good luck
