So, as I'm reading this (and yes part of "On the Run"), the moral of this sad story appears to be:

Don't catch a world-record striper unless you are:

1) Well-educated

2) Not prone to being screwed by people

3) Able to get along just fine without the extra money and fame

4) Not a New Jersey resident

5) Not surrounded by greedy relatives.
