Its been my experience that you'll catch more bloos durring daylight.. when it gets dark the bass come out to play
ALso slow down your retrieves. blues like a fast retrieve while bass like it slow.... if your retrieving too fast there might be bass there and just dont want your offering. I wouldnt use eels though if you know bloos are around... CHOMP!
