Peanut bunker and Jelly
Been working on this flat sided, 2 piece balsa crank bait for some time. It weighs in just under and ounce is wired and weighted internally. I wanted something to toss when the peanuts were packed in close and some r&d came up with this lil feller here. The paint scheme is not paint at all, the plug is small enough that I was able to get ahold of some sili skin, that the fly guys use, stretch it over the plug then press it in place, I finished it off with a coat of 2 ton epoxy. The lip is a small lip, because I wanted to keep the action of the plug as a tight wiggle an inch or two below the surface, if you really crank down on this little bait it does and injured side to side motion, stop cranking and the weight balances the plug perfectly in the water..
