I disagree. Drew handled the situation like a total professional and deserved to get treated like a total professional in return. IMO, giving him one set of downs just to get him in the game would have been patronizing, demeaning and unprofessional. Bledsoe, Brady, Belicheck and the rest of the team know what an integral part of the team Bledsoe was by being Brady's mentor and accepting his role like a professional. He didn't have to get a "mercy" you-know-what to make him feel like he contributed. He and the rest know how important he was to the Pats' season and their championship.
