I definitely never had that problem before redlite. I just put a drop of oil in there on my 4500s the other nite. It looks like there is a plastic shim/spacer between the handle and the crank/rubba paddle assembly. Am I talking about the same thing?
The old style barrel knobs I like better (hard plastic ) because they are thicker/bigger diameter. The rubber paddles are thin and get tacky at times from things.
