I own a VS200 and a 150 as well as the <matching, if that is the right word> Penn spinning reels. Van Staal is a much smoother reel in terms of cranking as well as drag.
But I will be the first to say that the price difference between a VS200 and a Penn 704, relative to how smooth they are, is NOT linear.
