I was in the same area Saturday night fishing with the girlfriend(can you believe it!). I bring three surfcasters, two for me, one for her. I figured what the heck, another pair of hands and an extra hook out in the water. She's NEVER fished before but seemed game. She couldn't get the hang of casting, so I volunteered to throw it out for her. (I know, I'm a nice guy). Within 1 minute, BANG! A three foot long sand shark that she muscles in. Now she's jumpin up and down looking at this beached fish and she's telling me to hurry up and rebait "her" rod so she can catch another! I love it and I think she's hooked
She fished with me the entire weekend after that.
