I wouldn't do it like that u'll end up wit too much oil on ur drag washers an u'll never get em tight.some will spray a shot of wd-40 on them which is lighter an mostly evaporates with time.I like the way i do it just a drop of oil work it into the fiber disks an wipe off good with a paper towel.If u own a vs or not u have to maintain ur drags especially when u get it wet.if not ur just askin for trouble In my truck I always have extra washers and the very important C clip. an parts like a handle an stuff like that in case something happens u gotta be prepared I also have a pretty good selection of rod tips an glue. Saved the day for myself an a few of my buds more than a few times.I'm a clutz i constantly fall an break stuff. I used to be a pretty good athlete I wonder what happened to that guy..
