If you can get either side of the broken bolt and the fracture looks intact, I can do some quick tests (free to you) and determine if it was a defective bolt, or caused by outside stresses.

I determined that the broken bolt I found in my ficht was a defective heat treat, luckily I found it and being an external intake bolt there were no issues. Just got the end out and put a new one in. I have not found any more broken, so I am hoping it was a isolated problem, not a problem with all the bolts heat treated in the same lot. which could also be installed on my powerhead.
