heres how I see it. If you mostly fish the sand, get bootfoot waders, as they wont fill up with sand. If you fish rocky areas, stockingfoot are great becauase you can buy seperate wading boots that fit your feet and have better arch support than rubber wadingboots... Although, after just researching waders recently I'm finding that some companies are making bootfoot waders with really nice wadingshoe style bootfoots that lace up-
If you go the stockingfoot route- LLBean has a great studded wading shoe, which eleminates the need for korkers 90% of the time
