Anything UNDER 308 cannot be used with VMC hooks or you will see electrolysis happen rapidly and the hooks will rust in HOURS....

when did you become a metallurgist ?
didnt we talk about this ?
I would like you to show me #304 that rusts, and i will eat it right there on the spot. maybe your VMC hooks are having a reaction to the CORE in the 308L , the core is what makes it SOFTER.. thats why i went with the #304 which is softer due to the annealing process & no core. and NO it does not stretch too much as some suggested. You are dealing with .062 steel wire. Do you think its really going to "let go" I would love to see a #304 wire let go on a wood plug. that would have to be an 800 lb bluefin at the other end.
if you guys want 308L ON A ROLL i can easily order a skid of it.
I thought you wanted the #308 in " 36" and it had better be straight" stuff ?
i am cranky today
if i dont get to fish soon, i will
