Congrats on your 1000th post Flap!

One thing that stands out loud and clear from your post is the need for all of us fisherman to be more involved in what goes on in the communities around us. It takes a little wisdom and the benefit of age to see the long term affects of rules that have been made with less than desirable outcomes for we who use the coastlines.

So whether it is your local town government making rules about access, zoning, wastewater etc.. or whether it is involvement at the national level we need to keep ourselves informed and PARTICIPATE. Thomas Jefferson pointed out that the biggest threat to representative democracy is an apathetic electorate. We all have an obligation to keep ourselves informed on the issues and candidates and as you pointed out... Vote
