I was over for my first Derby on 9/24 for a few days with my two sons (18 & 21). One son has surf experience the other learned to cast a rod on west beach just up from Wasque. That in itself was a thrill for us. Our first Derby overall was a time we will always cherish and talk about. We fished all the spots and tides without much happening, though I must say the people on MV were great. I am going to try and spend some time back on the island between Thursday and Sunday if possible and if not the three of us and maybe an uncle or two will be back for the 60th.
