Just bear in mind that there are two Batson 1088s.

The SW 1088 is the one that I think most of the folks are talking about. It's more of a moderate/fast taper blank with a good bend for eels.

The SU 1088 is a clone of the All Star 1088, and is noticeably stiffer.

However, I know a lot of guys who use the All Star for eels and they seem to like it.
