make double-triple sure no floppy or CD in the machine. also unplug the jump drive. make sure the bios is set to boot from the correct location - if unsure and it still fails, write down the settings and then cycle through to make sure it didnt get confused and "renumber" the disks due to the addition of the jump drive. what used to be A,C,D can become A,C,D,E and your previous D is now E with the jumpdrive as D.
