I had my best year in those waters the year the pipe opened. Me and Schoolie Monster had been fishing it regularly back then and the water "looked" different afterward (not a scientific study ??)...
Supposedly it pumps out the chlorinated effluent (since when is chlorine good for an eccosystem
? ) and I've also heard people complaining that the sand eel population has been declining since that started pumping...
