In your situation where I'd go:
Whistler/Blackcomb
Alta
Mammoth
I'll be at Mammoth for a full week this coming Nov.
If you're all skiers Alta can't be beat, W/B is very east coast like from the treeline down, Alta is the land of powder.
Mammoth has been getting absolutely pounded this year, so its a safe choice.
Actually in your situation, without the kids, I'd go Points North.
