What I have heard is basically bits and pieces of whats been said above ..

The Rogue plant has some sort of affiliation with the original G.Loomis...not sure who ...brother, or how related. Bob Loomis is listed as design guy. Rogue Rods

Then its my understanding that Shimano has the “Loomis line” ....but changed names and such

I had heard that they (Rogue) were having some “issues” with their blanks so my local supplier (a G. Loomis dealer) was waiting to see how that played out. Any truth to that ??

I found all this out as I tried to get a blank (an original G. Loomis SW84-16) and got most of that as "the story" I have found a very close alternative through St. Croix …but I wish I could find another original Loomis !!
