At BI I saw slipknot casting with one. He likes it and has it taped on his rod with black electrical tape.
It looks awkward to cast with but he says you get use to it fast. I may try it next season but I like the tape on my finger.I tape my finger with waterproof medical tape.
Braid with a 3oz plug will cut thru wet skin like a hot razor knife thru butter.
