BM makes some really nice surf plugs, but like you said some of the stuff he makes is deadly for slow-trolling. I came to realize this on a number of offshore trips. The back and forth wiggle action is just amazing.
You're only limited by your imagination...
Now, catching a cod on a BM pikie or danny - that's my next challenge (already caught a few on a BM needle).
Actually, it's not so hard, I could see it done while drifting the plug via a 3 way swivel setup ... provided it don't swim too funny 300 feet down.
