I taped mine on like Sandman said.
I didn't like using tape especially when it would get caught on the line and try to go thru the guides and sometimes would snap off my jig.
65 lb whiplash and a 4-5 oz jig with wet fingers will cut you after a short time. I use the cannon and have no problem laying the line on it, it is no harder than using a bailless spinning reel. I do it without looking at it. It adds virtually no weight to the rod. I can lay into a cast with no worries.
Great product. I guess it isn't for everyone. BM tossed his in the canal, he gave up on it too soon.
