just enable email in the "user cp"
follow this link to
Change Options
go down to
Hide Email Address?
Clicking yes hides your email address in your public profile, so that it is not accessible by other users.
Which means that it just turns off the option to email a user through the forums. it doesnt actually reveal or hide your email address. Set that to
NO
for an enabled user, go to the users profile and next to
Contact siteburner and choose the top option,
Click here to email siteburner
you will get a new page to send email with.
the recipient can then reply and it will go to the email address that you regeitered with.
Plus, spammers cant email you cause they need to be registered to use that page
