I'll send you one so we can compare. I swam the pliug again today and I realized is that the front section is actually quite bouyant. The back end of the rear section, where the hook and screww are, sinks. So I think I need to switch the hook size or go to a single back there. I may try a trick I use in my fly tying when I tie a neutrally buoyant fly. I do that by wrapping a thin strip of foam along the shank of the hook. I may be able to tune out the weight of the hook and the screw that way. When I try the single bucktail hook, the bucktail I tie on will be from the butt section of the tail, where the hair is more hollow and bouyant.

You're right. This is where the fun really is. There's so much room for creativity and very personla solutions.
