Not really that odd. Bin Laden is bound to the "Ethics" of his Interpretation of the Koran. The whole "Jihad" thing is his interptetation of Holy War as laid out in the Koran.
Don't get me wrong, I think we should ice this guy as soon as we get our hands on him.
But the 1st thing you need to do to defeat your enemy is to Understand him.
