I don't think they are native. I think people keep them like chickens. They have a couple of them at the umbrella factory in charlestown. In highschool we used to get baked and go watch them get chased around by the peacocks and geese. I saw some wandering a guy's front yard down the street from me, I assume they were domesticated.
We do have a TON of wild turkey up here in East Greenwich, west of rt. 4.
