if you want 1.5 oz jigs, buy 1.5 oz heads. by the time you put the paint and hair on, it will make little difference. if you aren't pouring your own, check out the heads sold by NJtackle. they are sweet!

i use powder paint, but i saw some jigs done with jig paint this year that looked good and held up plenty long enough.
