some chisel's, think i got my set at homies for $30. 1" skew, 1" gouge and a parting tool is all i use. If you got the money, get the best chisels you can, its worth it. A 12" drill bit is needed for through holes, you can cut it down to a more managable size if needed. Get some foster (sp?) bits for eyes and belly weights. Need weights too, either use 00 buckshot, small egg sinkers or get yourself a melting pot and make a mold out of 2x4's. Good luck, its addictive :-}
