I guess you have to be a little nuts to LIKE it as a form of punishment. An execution is the deliberate killing of a citizen.
I don't like it if there is the remotest possibility of an innocent person being wrongly punished.
Its deterrence value is questionable.
It is very expensive to administer vs. a life sentence.
But in the end, when it is meted out, is it "justice?"
I guess you can only earn the right to say so if you are a survivor of a victim who was murdered in a capital crime. God forbid.
The rest of us can rant and rave and wave our arms and cheer/boo.
