Just get rid of him, he's pretty worthless as a human being as far as I'm concerned. If he's around, every couple of years the families are going to be picking up a paper or watching the news and his name is going to pop up and dredge up all of the foul memories.
Take a look at the whole Manson situation, almost on an annual basis one of his cult members comes up for parole and the families have to go and explain why they should not be granted parole and re-live the crime over and over again. If they just had gotten rid of them then the families could get some closure.
I know he's no Manson but any dad should look at him as the Worst of the Worst for what he did.
