Don't know for sure Crafty,
i would like to believe that the men in those times were true gentlemen and sportsmen as thats how they were portrayed in all the stories in the outdoor books and magazines i read in the 40's -50's.
However.my Dad was the greatest gentleman i ever knew but, "he worked in profanity like an artist worked in oils and clay".
