Since you said you got a computer recently, I'm gonna assume your running Windows ME edition.....and you probably already know this....but just in case. Your Device Manager can be accessed by right clicking the My Computer on your desktop....then properties tab.....then click the Device Manager tab....and scroll down to your sound card......right click.....then properties again...and it will tell you if your card is working properly.
.but I'm sure you knew that. If your running XP, I think it will work the same way.
