Here's why I think the Pats win:

The 6 AFC playoff teams were a combined 21-3 against their NFC opponents. The Colts, Steelers and Pats were a combined 12-0. Each of the three bottom seeded AFC teams lost once to NFC teams that also made the playoffs--Jets to the Rams, Chargers and Broncos to the Falcons.

The 6 NFC playoff teams were a combined 11-13 against AFC opponents.
