Spence, I don't count myself amongst the gay-bashing population.
But two things are clearly established and I'm not going to sugar-coat facts:
1) Gays (namely, one deceased gay Canadian flight attendant) brought AIDS to the developed world in the 1980's.
2) Gays help spread the disease.
You'd think they would have gotten a clue now. We don't have a cure yet, a vaccine is a while off, and current treatments are just that - treatments that stave off development of full-blown AIDS. All the while the viruses are mutating.
It's not being gay - it's the irresponsible LIFESTYLE that many gays practice vis-a-vis drug use and unprotected sex with hundreds of partners. This has nothing to do with societal pressures - this is just some gays having reckless fun without a thought for the consequences. What they hell are they thinking? They are making things worse by passing on a more virulent form of the disease.
